We fix the judder by importing into AfterEffects and using that filter to change the effective shutter dwell to 180° and it looks great.

What about supported output formats? Can we output Prores 4444, HEVC, DCI 4K sizes? We had problems with render errors just rendering 1080p h.264 on Resolve 15 and had to give up then.ĭoes Resolve 16 have a Pixel Motion Blur filter? Currently, when we shoot drone footage and do a slow yaw, the judder is quite bad because the shutter speed is high-but we can get perfect stills as there's no visible motion blur.

We did try using an Intensity Pro 4K card, but the output was only 3.8K at 30Hz, not 4K/60P, and we'd need a separate card for every display device (not enough slots free in our workstation for that).

With Resolve 15, we could not get any full screen output.
Does the Studio version of Resolve do the rendering on GPU instead of CPU? (I found the lite version to be glacially slow rendering, compared to what I was used to with NVENC).įull screen output: In Premiere, I can set our Sony VPL VW675ES projector and our LG 31MU97-B DCI 4K displays as full screen outputs from the timeline by assigning different output ports on the GPU card. It's about 100x faster than using Adobe Media Encoder to make h.265 output, which is my main publication format since 2018. I'm used to using a plugin called NVENC, which uses the 3500 or so GPU cores to do the rendering. Is this a limitation of the lite version? Output from bridge cameras and drones doesn't produce a picture.

Limited import/export formats: I noticed Resolve 15 lite only accepts professional cinema formats. Resolve 15 made SIGNIFICANT strides toward being usable. With each new version, I try out the free "lite" version. If anyone finds a solution to this or has an additional idea on how I can solve this please let me know.ĭespite my calling that last part final Update.Frustrated longtime Adobe user, sick of the subscription fees, so giving a close look into Resolve. This is a pain in the rear end, but it fills my needs and doesn't have a monthly cost per Premiere Pro. The only thing that seems to solve the issue is to drop the file into Audacity and export the Audio to a wav and then, when editing, immediately replace the audio track with your new wav file. I have tried everything I could think of, I changed the bit rate of the audio in the recording process, I made sure there was only one audio file, I recorded in 60fps, I recorded in 30fps, I installed the CoreAudio AAC Encoder on the recording PC, I installed the CoreAudio AAC Encoder on the editing PC. Any advice on how I can record to avoid this or how I can adjust the settings of Resolve to handle this is appreciated. You can hear distortion around the 8-second mark. Next, I tested recording in OBS at 48 Khz the below clip is the raw recording and the second clip is after the render. Tested this method with multiple files and had good results. I do not hear any of the problems that are in my second clip. Using this audio instead of the 44.1Khz Audio solved the problem. I resampled the audio into 48Khz and exported as a wav file. I downloaded Audacity and installed the ffmpeg library so I could drop in the video file. I couldn't find anything of help here or elsewhere on the internet and I suspect that is because I don't know what to call my problem. I changed it to mp4, but also tested leaving it at QuickTime, using the YouTube preset. The second is the same clip dropped into Resolve and I clicked on deliver and rendered it out. The first is a 15-second clip recorded, I have done nothing to this clip. To illustrate this I have two clips below.
Hi I am new to Resolve, but I seem to be having an issue with sound after rendering a final product. While I have found a workaround I am hoping that others might have some ideas or perspective.
The result is crackling and popping in the video after a render. I am having an issue with final products put through DaVinci Resolve 15.
